Question: Any ideas for same sex wedding vows?

As California Residents, my registered domestic partner and I are getting married next week. I am totally unprepared - I never thought this would be a reality for us! Please help I need same sex wedding vow ideas!!! And those of you who want to be negative and hide behind "blocked " profiles where no one can tell you what they think of your opinions, you need not answer!

Aw, congratulations. I'm happy for you. = ] Just speak from your soul. Ask yourself some questions about that person, like why you are with them in the first place, and incorporate that into your vows. Good luck!

Just speak from your heart. It doesn't matter if it's same sex or not. Your heart will always know what to say. By the way. CONGRATS!!!

Your vows come from the heart, write them down in you have to...my wife and I did ours impromptu but I remember them to this day.

The others are right; just speak from your heart. If that is too daunting to think about, you could try using some poetry or even song lyrics that are special to you both. I know how important this is and just thinking about it makes me a bit jealous (I'm in NC and we can't get married here, damn it!). If you're familiar with Meg Christiansen (sp), she has a lot of great poetry that she has put to music. You may find something of hers to use as inspiration. You could always just put how you really feel about your partner in words for her to hear. Don't give it away, though. Don't let her know what you're going to say until the Big Day. It's your special day and I'm so proud of you for taking this major change in your lives. May your love for each other grow forever.. Bret

Firstly, congratulations. Here are the vows Gwenneth and I exchanged over 42 years ago. Names were exchanged as each of us repeated the lines. I Catriona Isobel Rose P..... take and accept thee, Gweneth B..... as my life partner and companion. Such love, devotion affection and compassion I have are thine as are all things I possess.. I hold these words to be true as long as we live. I believe these vows helped us through our 42 years together. May my blessings and those of my late beloved Gweneth be with you. Rose P/
