Question: Wording for "gift card shower" wedding shower invitation?

The guests are close friends and already know that it is a gift card shower.

I have been to a lingerie shower, kitchen shower, baby shower, but never a gift card shower, it's in poor taste to list what you want. Usually friends or family of the bride or expectant mother spread the word when people ask them what you need or desire.

Send a regular invitation and put where they are registered and tell them to purchase gift cards....... They can even put it on their registry not sure what is tacky about saving people the time and headache on deciding what to get you..

If they already know that it is a "gift card shower " it does not need to be re-announced, nor should it be put in the invitation. They already know - and it's tacky to include such things in the invite.
