Question: Wedding shower questions?

My maid of honor is throwing me a wedding shower this weekend, and another friend is throwing me a lingerie party the following weekend. My question is, am I supposed to buy the hostesses a gift as a thank you for throwing the shower? I'm already putting together goody tote bags for the bridesmaid and I included this good friend (because she's helped me sooo much with this wedding) SO do I get them a separate gift on top of the bags? And if so- - what do I get!? !? Thanks ! We're also on a very tight budget. I'm making goody bags for 5 girls, plus gifts for groomsmen and flower girls, and ringbearers! We're paying for most of this ourselves. So YES I should get them something, does anyone have any ideas of smaller gifts? I can't afford anything over $20- $25 each. Thanks

It wouldn't hurt to get her an extra gift...maybe just a small gift cert. to a restaraunt or coffee shop?? Or a candle set, anything will work, and be appreciated!

You might want to give her gift cert of $50 to $100 on top of the goody tote bags.

Instead of getting each of them an extra gift why don't the three of you go out for lunch. Just pick a place where you all can relax and just enjoy each other, and have a nice time.

You always give whoever is hosting the shower and or lingerie party a gift,,it's the thought that counts.The bath shop,like bath junkie or whatever you have there is a cute idea,they can help you choose a few coordinating items,and it always looks good in a silver like bucket to hold her things. An always perfect gift is a silver bracelet with a thoughtful saying inscribed and their really not expensive,but hurry if it's this weekend...wrap it in an eloquent wrap with maybe a silver ribbon...the lingerie gift could be a basket of items from the party! The lingerie Representative could probably make you up a small basket for that. You might save the bracelet for the maid of honor's gift at the rehearsal dinner...something a little nicer.congrats! have fun!It's your time to shine...don't let your groom forget the groomsman's gifts!

I would, since they are goigng to a lot of trouble for you. You don't have to spend much, 20-25 is more than enough. It's more important you get them something thoughtful. And don't forget your thank you notes.

The goody bags that you are creating are your THANK YOU gifts. A warm and sincere card afterward is appropriate. Nothing more than expressing your appreciation for your friends is required. You can ask your friends if you can do anything to help them with their parties, maybe offer to help make an appetizer tray. They are your friends and they have been happy to help you I'm sure! I'm sure both will be very pleased.
