Question: Is rap and the hip hop culture more detrimental to the advancement of mankind than organized religion?

No, that would be impossible. Organized religion is the only thing other than money/ resources that can drive a country to go to war in modern times. When was the last time Israel attacked Palestine (and vice versa) over an Eminem song? The war is over territory/ retaliation currently, but what was it that divided the two in the first place? You also have to take into account that organized religion is human nature so it's prevalent across the entirety of mankind, how many people in Siberia are rocking the Chronic right now?
