Show her pictures of pretty female rappers and singers. show her how they dress and how good they are and that their good 2 look up too.(only appropriate ones) like beyonce cassie ciara lil mama teach her the style too. also try showing her guys that she might think are attractve. try showing her songs of all diffrent kinds...like some raps hav a techno beat some hav alot of bass some are slow and sweet. make sure you give her a viaraitey. she seems to like the hip hop/ pop kinda music so dont show her hardcore stuff like lil wayne and the game and plies and stuff cuz she most likely wont like that. show her more girl artists and r &b songs like trey songz marques houston mario neyo and ray j. ciara cassie aaliya mya beyonce etc. hope i helped:) |

Um, stop being from the suburbs? That's a start. Also, stop being white. That will help, too. Also, stop wearing your hat backwards and thinking it gives you street cred - nobody from the hood wears their hat like that. And stop wearing Southpole and FUBU, it makes you look like a wigger, which you are. |

How can your sister get YOU into the rock culture and away from the dreaded rap/ hip-hop counterculture? That is an equally valid question, whether you like it or not. The true question I will never have answered is "Why does everyone have to be like you? " She likes varied music, and that is good. I'm sure my choices would gag you both. The straight answer is that the problem is you and your insistence that everyone be like you in all your tastes. Ain't gonna happen in this world, ever, so get used to it. |

Idk if this is how she is but, w/ me, if you force me to listen to something thats by someone i don't know, i won't listen or like it. for example, my friend showed me "day n nite " in last september and i didn't wanna listen but, he kept forcing the song on me, and i didn't like it. i started to listen to it on my own and then i started liking it. so just leave her alone and let her find it herself. or u could show her rock collabs w/ hip hop artists. good luck! |
