In hip hop culture, what does dressing in all over black represent?
Is it wrong that I love hip hop culture? if so, why?
I grew up in and still live in a part of town where most my friends were black. I have some white and latino friends too. I am an artist and love tagging, tattooing etc, and nothing releases the flow of creativity more for me than rap hip hop music. The clothes are the most fitting to my personality, and the most comfortable. But my family and alot of other people still look down on me. this p es me off. Should I deny this part of myself, my identity because its somehow wrong? I need opinions.
What is a good quote about hip hop culture?
Who created current hip hop culture, is it jewish executives?
Who would rather represent hip hop culture from NY? Nas or Jay Z?
You can place any other guy
Did the hip hop culture help stop molestation in the black community?
Young black boys molesting their little brothers, younger male cousins, yes stuff like this used to happen back in my parents generation ever heard of Donnie Mcclurkin well he got molesed twice by his own uncle ad his uncles teenage son this happened in the late 60's early 70's which was my parents era.I am thinking ing hip hop is so macho and for sure reason I grew up in ageneraton where sex with another dude was not cool and black males were wanabe thugs.Or is this just a social thing cause kis today are safer than they've ever been and I'm wondering when exactly did stuff like what I mentioned on the first sentence end?Didn't it stop young black boys from molesting other boys since rap is macho
Back when the Fab 5 set a trend in the hip hop culture, what songs did the Michigan Wolverines get a shout out?
This is one of those questions for those really in depth hip hop heads. Fab 5 was the 5 Michigan Freshmen who shocked the world with their baggy pants, black socks, trash talking, and attitudes from the urban environment also the hip hop culture. watch the recent ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary for more .In the documentary, there were people such as Chuck D and Ice Cube reflecting on how they influenced each other. When the Fab 5 were active, Michigan sold 10 million Michigan merchandise.I was wondering which hip hop songs did the Michigan Wolverines get a shout out?I already found 3 that specifically did DIRECT ali vegas the specialist 0 48 taking about wolverine hoodiessway and king tech i love the ghetto ft crooked i 0 21 talking about michigan hatlil' wayne earthquake 0 51 my pinky blue and yellow like michiganNote hip hop songs has to DIRECTLY refer to the university of michigan, blue, yellow, wolverines, etcthere were lesser known tribute songs called blue and yellow i'm aware of after the black and yellow somewhatC Murder Sophisticated Thugs Feat. What movies contain multiple hip/hop tracks but are not considered to be centralized on hip/hop culture?
Very recent examples would be either A Team or Despicable Me and a bit of an older example would be Office Space. These are prime examples but I would like to compile a long, detailed list which is constructed by utilizing the public knowledge THIS MEANS YOU . Feel free to post multiple references.
Hip-Hop & Cultures: What were your favorite Mario video-games in the past or present?
Mine Super Mario 64 Mario Kart 64 old ish lol Mario Kart Wii Mario Party 2 Super Mario Sunshine Super Smash Bros. Nintendo 64 and Gamecube with other charaters Hell yeah The worst Mario game I ever played was Mario & Luigi Inside Bowser Story on Nintendo DS.That racing level at first I thought it looked so pretty but that level is sooo damn hard and hated falling off the rainbow track Even the newer version on the Wii of the rainbow level changed but it's harder that the original and crazy.
RHH: What is the state of hip-hop culture?
Hip Hop is pretty much still going on, but I feel like the culture is not as strong as it used to be in the beginning. What do I mean with this? Well, it seems like all four aspects aren't as united or widely practiced in conjunction. DJs are not scratching like it used to be done. When you hear someone say that they're a DJ it's usually that they play music at parties, but nothing especial. Lets be honest it's not the same as in the past when everything had LIFE. Don't get me wrong, their is still people keeping the culture alive, but it's not mainstream like it should be noticed or glorified. What gets praised now a day is garbage talentless people. Think I'm lying, well compare the teens from back in 85 to now and notice how involved they were into the culture...Here's a classic documentary movie that ALL hip hop fans should have already seen called Style Wars and see what I am trying to explain here, enjoy youtube.com watch?v ETRa tx9c2wBQ Do you practice any of the four elements? If not, which one would you like to get involved in?Style Wars Hip Hop culture at its finest. I would also highly recommend to see Wild Style 1983. This is were Nas took the genesis beat from youtube.com watch?v ep8BmWHHRA4& feature relatedThere is no excuse if you call yourself a hip hop fan and not watch these two movies.Wild Style is the bible of hip hop, it truly is and you'll find so many quotables in the movie that you never realized that rappers were making reference to this movie. GMan No problem dude, enjoy.Wirftgu Yeah, you're right. This question should have way more stars and people discussing, but no it's only a few who really care.
