Question: I need really really scary halloween haunted house decorations.. what do i need?
(Posted by: Dancer42 on 2008-09-05 18:58:39)
Im having a halloween party and I want really scary decorations, not anything lame like little pumpkins and stuff, I want really good stuff, and mostly everyone at the party is ranging from 14- 16 years old so I want to make it fun for those ages, not for little kids. What are some good decorations? Thanks |

Purchasing props can be extremely expensive- just check out hauntedprops.com to validate that. However, a fog machine is a great addition to any party. Black lights and/ or strobe lights or also good. For decorations, dead bodies are great to have and can be made with old clothing and stuffing (pillows work great for chests). Heads can just be a stuffed hooded mask. Amputated parts, with blood/ gore, are next to impossible to get without purchasing them. They make great props though. Finally, spider-web is great to use and can be purchased cheaply at stores like Party City, Halloween Express, and even Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart and other large stores have many props, and while the majority are not scary, you may come across a nice piece or prop. |

George Bush and Dick Chaney masks. Better yet, hire a magician. |

We use black lights in all the light sockets and a fog machine. It makes any props so much more effective. We use old clothing, old halloween costumes and scary masks and stuff them and prop them up in different positions to create scenes. We also dress up skeletons and prop them up. We use red and / or brown paint for blood. You can go as far as using real meat to fake a severed limb by letting the meat dangle out of a sleeve or pant leg. There are halloween shops who have all kinds of nifty things to spruce up your decorations. A person under a ghillie suit on the floor as part of the decoration grabbing peoples ankles as they walk by is a lot of fun too. Good luck. |
