2001 chevy impala problem?
my impala is having starting issues. it has been happening for about a month now where it just dont start. its not the battery, i have had that checked, same with the connections. its not the starter, had that looked at also. my only guess is, the times i go to start it and it doesnt start the security light comes on. i dont know if it doesnt recognize my key and the security feature is not letting it start or what. but if i keep trying it eventually starts up.my uncle works at a technical center where i can get work done for free but i have to know whats wrong with it before i give it to them so i can have all the parts bought before hand so if anyone knows whats wrong and what i need to buy i would really appreciate some insight.thanksalso i was wondering, how do i tell if i my key has a chip in it?
My dad has a 08 chevy impala. can someone tell me how to swichout the headlights on this model? thanks!?

What if I take off the resonator on a 2002 chevy impala 3.8?
will I mess up my car if I have it taken off? I took it to a shop and was told my catalytic converter needed replacing and the resonator had a huge hole in it. when I drive my car is extremely loud abd the transmission has a hard time switching,is that because of loss of power? I was told if I take off the resonator it will help my car run better is this true? im panicing because it drives so rough. thanks for your help. also when they take off the resonator and put in the straught pipe will my car still run loud and rough?

At first it was the battery. Took to get tested and was told it wouldn't charge. Purchased a new battery but now it's won't start. All the lights inside turn on, but turning the ignition switch does nothing. I hear nothing in the engine area, not even a click. What could it be?
