What is the top speed of a 1965 chevy corvette sting ray sports coupe?
I have an 05' chevy corvette C6, my question is wht type of exhaust would give it the best sound and HP?
Right now I have the Flowmasters 50 series lightning, and I love the sound but I think I can get more HP out of a different exhaust. Also wanna add more HP without any moding the engine any. Any suggestions?

Why is my '99 chevy corvette not accelerating?
This just happened to me a few days ago. I was on the freeway going home, I was fine going 75mph, then I hit traffic, slowed down, then I was going speed up, then I noticed it wasn't accelerating, kept pushing on the pedal, but it wasn't getting any faster, then I was about to pull over to get off the freeway, then it like pushed through and started going faster again, then the engine light came on. Later I put some trans fluid in, then the light went off, I am going to take it in, but before does anyone know what the problem could be.I do notice that when in freeway traffic the car does overheat almost all the way does this a lot , but when going place close by, that is not doing a lot of driving, it is fine. Like today went to work 15mins away, car is doing fine, but yesterday went on the 101N, after a while driving, more then 30mins, the car didn't want to go past 70 car was overheating a little too . pushing the pedal all the way. then like before it kind of pushed through, and went normal and the engine light did not come on. Would I just need to get the fluids replaced?would that help, even if the check light isn't on anymore?

I know in that time the epa, AKA " al gore robots" were in their full swing, and just bogging down power on engines because of their crap. I am going to be buying a 1979 Corvette with the L48 350 engine in it, and am wanting to to a rebuild to it, nothin major, just a .03 bore, and new internals, to make it a 355, and have a fresh start, get some new heads intake and carb. for the heads and intake, I'll go edelbrock, but for the carb would holley be better? and on a performance base 350 engine say wanting to make 300 320hp, would a 4barrel car be better, and why?Also plan to put some headers on her, and maybe some cut outs on it.and finally, HOW DO YOU REMOVE ALL OF AL GORE'S ROBOT PRODUCTS on this car?

I just got a 1979 L82 chevy corvette frame everything except the motor and transmission , and was going to restore it. I wanted to go with a big block instead of the standard 350 engine, then I found the 572 engine and became in love with it. I was wondering if it will fit in the corvette and any recommendations for a transmission manual , and some parts. Thanks
