1968 chevy camaro alum heads?
About to start putting some money into my camaro engine. How much horse would you imagine I would gain by adding aluminum heads from the normal cast iron? Is there a certain brand that are better reliable than the others as well? Current 396 BB w assuming around 400 410hp so she'll run a bit now. Heads, MSD ignition system, maybe new cam, etc. all on the list. Come on Christmas bonus Thanks again

Im 17 and thinking about buying this car for my 18th, its got 76000 miles and im getting it for 1800, due to a family friend, now the interior is a bag of s , but i will work on that and wil have help fixing it, however the engine is fairly new and the person im buying of has fixed and replaced nearly all of the engione and it runs great.but theres a few problems i want to know if anyone can help i would appreciate it 1. things to look out for on the car before buyinh it..., body, engine ect?2. how reliable is it?? could i road trip in it ect??3. how bad is it in the winter?? i live in conneticut?4,how many miles will the car take before i start having problems??5, whats the main problems with this car???6,and anything else you can inform me with thank you

I'm looking to spice up my very first sport muscle so I want some advice from my fellow gear heads. Everything is stock on it now and the engine is plenty of life left but I really do not know which route to go. Turbo of V8 swap? I want power just not too much. Has the stock 3800 series with al factory parts with dual exhaust. Any suggestions would be nice or any forum links that could steer me in the right path would work too. OK re posting. again. I have a 1990 Chevy camaro and i thought maybe my EGR valve is the problem i have with my car but as i can see its not. Im trying to figure out what the problem could be. i have rough idling and a lot of engine hesitation. it sounds like its going to stall at times but it catches itself and when ever i give it gas it gives a little put put noise and it shakes during that time but when it gets to maybe 45 mph it stops and it runs fine. any ideas?
1984 chevy camaro z28.?
i need help, i have been looking at a 1984 camaro z28 as a project car, engine is the v8 305, the tranny is a 700r4. the trans is busted no clue whats wrong with it , the right door handle is gone, interior is in good shape aside from the center console being ripped to shreds, and the paint is sun damaged on about 25 % of the car.. the lady wants $1800... is it worth that or should i try to haggle her down

1982 chevy camaro problem!?
Ok so first the fuel pump push road bent so i replaced it and got a new pump then the carburetor started acting up so i rebuilt and set the float to what the spec was and then the distributor was trashed so i got a complete new distributor and now the car starts but wont rev over 3000 rmp the secondaries open on the carburetor and fuel comes misting up out of the top of the carb i dont think thats right can it be the float making the carb flood? What should i set the float to? whats your guess on whats happening?Ok so why would the secondaries open when in park and just sitting there then revving it up because when they open at around 3000 rpm is when the car stops revving any higher could the spring be bad?
