I want to get a birthday present for this guy I'm dating. He's a HUGE N.Y. Jet's fanatic. His all time favorite player is Curtis Martin, so I figured I'd get him a Curtis Martin something. First, let me say we haven't been dating super long, but I like this guy a lot. I guess my goal is to get him something he'd love, but at the same time not freak him out by getting something "too nice ". I've looked online and found everything from unsigned rookie cards at $10, to a normal- looking brown football signed by Curtis Martin at around $350, to a Jets football signed by 26 guys from the 1969 Superbowl III team with Joe Namath (oddly enough, those range from $500- 1, 500). I was leaning towards one of a couple different Curtis Martin Autographed photos I saw on Yahoo Shopping (around $125). They both say they come with certificates of authenticity. One says it's Steiner, which I know is reputable, the other doesn't say. For reference, these are them: http:/ / www.walloffame.net/ cumajeau8xph.html and http:/ / shophandles.com/ 318- 477396.html . Any thoughts to which is better? Or maybe one of the footballs is better from an investment standpoint? Please help. |
