Question: Whats wrong with my canon powershot a40 digital camera?

It will not turn on. All the batteries are in correctly and they are all brand new. I'm thinking it may be the battery cover or connection with the camera. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem with the canon powershot a40.. I never dropped it or anything..Please be as specific as you can. thank you.

Sounds like you've really thought about this already. The only thing I can think to suggest is cleaning the battery contacts with some rubbing alcohol.

Send it to some shop to go for repair if after rubbing with alcohol still doent help.
