Question: Best quality digital cameras?

I am looking to buy a new digital camera with 10MP or higher. I would like it to have a fast shutter speed, and it would be great if it could take HD movies with sound. Waterproof would also be fantastic. If you know of any great digital cameras, please let me know!

I bought the sony 12.1 megapixel from Best Buy 2 weeks ago. Unreal, pictures and movies.

I have an Olympus myself and love it but I know Canon also makes a good one. My Olympus has the movie mode plus under water capability and is shock resistant, and it comes in many colors, great little camera. Olympus has the most models to choose from, in the under water category because they pioneered that market, so just google it and pick one. You won't regret it.

Most modern digital cameras have 10MP, so that shouldn't be a concern. You mention "fast shutter speed ", I wonder if you really mean a short first shot delay. Fast shutter speed refers to how long the shutter is open, like maybe 1/ 250 of a second. To get HD movies with sound, avoid the cheap cameras since some of them do not record sound. At last we get to waterproof.
