Digital Camera Underwater Homepage

Question: Can i use any digital camera underwater?

I was going to video tape my friends underwater at my poolparty. i use a sony cybershot and i was wondering if i could you that or if it had to be a special camera.

There are a few waterproof cameras on the market (one that comes to mind is by Olympus). The Sony cameras are NOT waterproof so you do risk getting it wet and killing it. The only thing you could do is to put it in a ziploc bag or something but I wouldn't bother risking your nice camera for that. Don't bother or go buy a waterproof one.
