Canon is VERY GOOD. so is Casio, but you didn't mention them.

I'm looking for a new digital camera too!! Nikon is my first choice and second is Canon... Anyway u should ask urself wat exactly u want from it? options, prices, feature??

Your question didn't specify if you were looking for a point-and-shoot or a dSLR. If you're looking for a dSLR absolutely buy a Canon. If you're looking for a point-and-shoot you'll need to do a little research, try dpreview.com/ reviews/ specs.asp
