On page 75 of the manual [1] I found on Canon Australia's site, there is only two methods of coping with inadequate flash power listed: increase ISO; move closer. So I infer that any Canon accessory would have to post-date that manual. The product you need is known as a slave flash, such as the Speedlite listed [2]. I did find a shopping site that stated that this Canon HF-DC1 High Power Flash is "Compatible with almost every Canon PowerShot digital camera (except for the PowerShot 600, 350, and Pro70) ". Your little Rollei flash probably doesn't have a slave feature, but I didn't readily bump into a spec for it. It's possible to buy a slave attachment to fit the hotshoe, but there's no guarantee that it will work happily with your Canon. Anyway, now you know the magic words to search on.
